The bracelet is what completes this one. Beads of rice, integrated into the case, and finished to match the polished and brushed steel it grows out of. On the dark blue TACHYMETER 2.0 from Sternglas, it is the configuration the watch was designed around.

The TACHYMETER 2.0 is the racing chronograph in the range and the largest watch the Hamburg brand builds. Its scale reads average speed from elapsed time over a measured distance, its dial follows a tri-compax sector layout with a 24-hour register at three, running seconds and date at six and a 60-minute counter at nine, and its caseback carries a rally motif engraving.

The case measures 44 mm in 316L stainless steel with an aluminum bezel insert and 10 bar of water resistance, equal to 100 meters, beneath a double-domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating. The movement is a Seiko/TMI VK63 meca-quartz, which means quartz timing with a mechanically driven chronograph: the chrono hand sweeps, and the reset is instant. Lug width is 20 mm.

Steel on steel with a deep blue dial, and enough presence to carry a rolled shirt sleeve.
