A chronograph rated to 100 meters is not a given. The Sternglas TACHYMETER 2.0 carries 10 bar of water resistance, and on a black rubber strap it becomes a racing watch that does not need to be taken off at the pool.

The line is the Hamburg brand's motorsport chapter, distinct from the reduced dials it usually draws. The tri-compax sector dial gives a 24-hour register at three, running seconds and a date at six, and a 60-minute counter at nine. The tachymeter scale turns elapsed time over a measured distance into average speed, and the caseback is engraved with a rally motif.

The case runs 44 mm in polished and brushed 316L stainless steel, with an aluminum bezel insert and a double-domed sapphire crystal coated for anti-reflection on both surfaces. Timekeeping and chronograph duties fall to a Seiko/TMI VK63 meca-quartz: quartz precision driving a mechanical chronograph, which is why the chrono hand sweeps and the reset is instantaneous. The 20 mm rubber strap is black, and shrugs off sweat and salt water alike.
