TACHYMETER 2.0 black silver / Modena 20 black

All black, apart from the steel. The Sternglas TACHYMETER 2.0 on black Modena leather is the version that keeps the noise down and lets the three registers do the work.

The TACHYMETER 2.0 is the racing chronograph in the Sternglas range, and the brand's biggest watch by some margin. The dial is arranged tri-compax in the sector tradition, with a 24-hour register at three, running seconds and a date at six, and a 60-minute counter at nine, ringed by a tachymeter scale that converts elapsed time over a measured distance into average speed. A rally motif is engraved on the caseback.

The case is 44 mm in polished and brushed 316L stainless steel, fitted with an aluminum bezel insert and rated to 10 bar, which is 100 meters, under a double-domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating. Inside is a Seiko/TMI VK63 meca-quartz: quartz regulation with a mechanically driven chronograph, giving the sweep of a mechanical chrono hand and the reliability of a battery. The 20 mm Modena strap is black leather.

Understated for a 44 mm chronograph, and the easiest of the black dial versions to wear with tailoring.
