The Sportivo Big Date sits in the family Mühle-Glashütte launched in 2024, the newest and most contemporary line the company makes. Its calling card is the MU9424-GD movement, which introduced Mühle's first in-house developed big date module. The mechanism uses a units ring and a tens star, the classic two-element approach, to display the date at 6 o'clock in a format no ordinary date wheel can match. The module is deliberately built to be repositioned, a piece of forward planning rather than a one-off.

This version puts the black dial on a black and grey textile strap with a steel pin buckle, the most casual of the Big Date configurations. The stainless steel case is 42.5 mm across, 12.5 mm tall, 50.2 mm lug to lug, with a bidirectional rotating bezel and black ceramic inlay, double anti-reflective sapphire, screw-down crown and exhibition caseback. Super-LumiNova on hands and hour markers, 41 hours of automatic running, 30 bar of water resistance and 22 mm lugs.

Textile and an all-black face make this the most quietly worn watch in the family. It disappears until you need the date.
