Sportivo Big Date — Deep Blue Dial / Black and Gray Textile

A deep blue dial under a black ceramic bezel, on a black and grey textile strap. The Sportivo Big Date is tuned a shade darker here than most blue sports watches manage.

It comes from the family Mühle-Glashütte launched in 2024 and describes as sporty, chic and versatile. The date display is the reason it exists. Its MU9424-GD movement carries Mühle's first in-house developed big date module, a genuine two-element mechanism with a units ring and a tens star rather than a single enlarged disc, positioned here at 6 o'clock. Mühle designed the module to be flexibly placed, which is unusual for a big date and speaks to how it was engineered.

This reference wears the 42.5 mm stainless steel case on a black and grey textile strap with a steel pin buckle, 22 mm wide, which brings the whole watch down to 101 grams. The case is 12.5 mm tall with a 50.2 mm lug-to-lug and a bidirectional rotating bezel with black ceramic inlay. A 2.2 mm double anti-reflective sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and exhibition caseback complete it, with 30 bar of water resistance and 41 hours of running time.
