SEVEN WINDOWS "YUKI-HIRA Dial" Rubber model [VM15-RBKYBL-SSD]
Rubber turns the SEVEN WINDOWS into something you can stop thinking about. The craft stays where it is, on the dial and the case flanks; the strap simply gets on with the day.
MINASE fits this reference with a black rubber strap and the blue YUKI-HIRA dial, a traditional Japanese hammered pattern formed by electroforming rather than print. Blue holds the texture at its most graphic, and the strap's flat matte black keeps all the attention on it.
The architecture is unchanged. A six-faceted square case with the crown divided into two at the side gives seven sapphire panels, so light reaches the dial from the front, the back and the sides. Inside sits a second case holding the movement and the curved dial, with an index ring above. Every polished surface has been worked by hand against a rotating plate rather than a soft wheel, which is what keeps the edges sharp where two planes meet.
Steel, 37.4 mm wide, 46.5 mm long, 13 mm thick with the crystal, about 98 grams on rubber. Self-winding KT7002 with date, 5 atm water resistance, which covers rain but not swimming.
Perfect for: rubber strap luxury watches, blue textured dials, daily-wear Japanese automatics.
