S.A.R. Rescue-Timer — Black Dial / Steel Bracelet (M1-41-03-MB)

Steel links with black rubber inserts, on a watch whose bezel is also rubber. The S.A.R. Rescue-Timer takes the material seriously: it absorbs impact, and it keeps anything sharp away from a person being pulled out of the water.

Mühle-Glashütte built the model to a specification shaped by the coxswains of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service, first handed over in February 2002. The brief was blunt: survive the job, read in the dark, carry no sharp edges.

This Rescue-Timer runs a 190 mm matte steel bracelet with black rubber inserts and a folding clasp, on the standard 42.0 mm steel case, 13.5 mm tall and 47.6 mm lug to lug. Black dial, black rubber bezel, 4 mm double anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a magnifier over the date at 4 o'clock, solid screwed caseback and 100 bar of water resistance. The SW 200-1 Version Mühle automatic supplies 41 hours with the patented woodpecker neck fine regulation and stop-seconds.

The most substantial version at 175 grams complete. It feels like the tool it is.
