Pangaea – blue aventurine
Aventurine is a stone shot through with tiny metallic inclusions, so a dial cut from it looks like a piece of night sky. No two are alike.
MeisterSinger uses it here for the most decorative dial in the Pangaea line, the slim and dressy end of a German range that has argued for the single hand since 2001. The deep blue stone is set behind gold-colored numerals printed in several passes for a three-dimensional effect, and the usual five-minute lines are replaced by dots, which suits the material far better than a printed grid would. The Pangaea remains time only. No date, no seconds hand.
The 40 mm stainless steel case carries 20 mm lugs, is rated to 5 bar and arrives on a cognac strap, with a Sellita SW300 automatic modified for single-hand drive. Reading it works as it does across the collection: the hand names the hour, its position gives your progress through it, and the resolution lands almost to the minute.
The one Pangaea people ask to look at more closely, and the only one that is genuinely unrepeatable.
Perfect for: aventurine and stone dial collectors, unique dial watch buyers, evening and occasion wear.
