NAOS XS white silver / Milanaise silver

Fitting a bracelet to a slim wrist usually means removing links until the result is close enough. The Milanaise mesh on this Naos XS deletes the close enough: its clasp slides to any point along the weave and locks there.

Sternglas has made the Naos since it began in Hamburg in 2016, and the line has stayed deliberately plain. High contrast, geometric layout, sans-serif type, and a dial with nothing decorative on it. The Naos XS is that same drawing at 33 mm.

This one runs a white dial, a polished 316L steel case and a silver Milanese mesh bracelet 2.5 mm thick on 16 mm lugs, all in one tone. Timekeeping comes from a Miyota GL12 quartz movement with a date and hacking seconds. The crystal is sapphire, double-domed and anti-reflective on both sides, and the case is rated to 5 bar. The bracelet detaches without tools, so a leather strap is a minute's work away.

Mesh suits a small case. It drapes rather than sits, and it never leaves you stranded between two sizing holes.
