Dustin Fontaine founded Sternglas in Hamburg in 2016 on a single question: why had good watch design stopped being reachable. The Naos was the answer, reduced to essentials, and this edition is where the line allows itself a genuinely precious material. The dial is cut from real mother-of-pearl, and Luminova appeared on the Naos XS for the first time on this edition.

The watch measures 33 mm across with 16 mm lugs and a polished silver-tone steel case. Inside sits a Ronda 784 Swiss quartz caliber with date. Above the dial, domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating; water resistance is 5 ATM. The Klassik 16 leather strap in black frames the shell the way a dark mount frames a print.

Formal enough for an evening, small enough to forget you are wearing it, and interesting from every angle you tilt it.
