NAOS XS Edition mother of pearl dark blue gold / Classic 16 dark brown

Deep blue shell, gold case, dark brown leather. Nothing in this Sternglas NAOS XS Edition Mother of Pearl is a bright color, and that is precisely why the dial keeps catching your eye.

Sternglas was founded in Hamburg in 2016 and has spent the years since building watches meant to outlast trends rather than mark them. The Naos is its core line and its most reduced dial. On this edition, that dial is cut from real mother-of-pearl, which gives it a depth no print process produces, and Luminova was added to the Naos XS here for the first time.

The watch measures 33 mm with 16 mm lugs, in a polished gold-tone case. A Ronda 784 Swiss quartz movement handles the time and the date. The crystal is domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating; water resistance is 5 ATM. It ships on the Klassik 16 leather strap in dark brown, the most subdued option in this colorway.

Understated on the wrist, unusually alive when the light catches it at an angle.
