NAOS XS EDITION FLORA ice blue silver / Classic blue

Ice blue is a difficult dial color. It goes chalky in the wrong light and glassy in the right one, and this Naos XS finds the second version more often than not.

Sternglas has designed watches in Hamburg since 2016, working to Bauhaus-inspired principles of reduction and contrast. The Naos is its core line and the Naos XS the 33 mm interpretation of it, drawn for slimmer wrists. The Edition Flora belongs to the brand's Special Editions grouping, where the standard Naos dial is given a color treatment the regular catalog does not carry.

The case measures 33 mm and the finish is silver, with a quartz movement and a date. The crystal is double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both faces, and water resistance is 5 bar. The classic leather strap comes in blue, tuned to the dial rather than contrasting with it, on the 16 mm lug width the XS case uses.

Pale, compact and unusual without being difficult, it suits someone who has looked at white dials and wanted a degree more color.
