NAOS XS Automatic silver / Classic 16 black

Steel case, black strap, 33 mm. This is the Naos reduced twice over: once by the design and once by the diameter.

Sternglas began in Hamburg in 2016 with the argument that well-drawn watch design should be available to everyone, and the Naos is the line that argument produced. The dial carries fine markers, slim hands and a date, laid out for contrast rather than effect. The XS exists because that dial deserved a small-wrist version, and the Automatik because a small wrist should still be allowed a mechanical movement.

The silver-toned case measures 33 mm on 16 mm lugs and runs the Miyota 6T15 automatic at 28,800 vibrations an hour, hand-windable, with a date. Its glass caseback is held by six screws. Double-domed sapphire crystal, double anti-reflective coating, 5 bar.

On black Klassik 16 leather it is the most neutral configuration in the XS Automatik range, and the one hardest to wear wrongly.
