NAOS XL white silver / Premium dark brown

Dark brown is the harder brown to get right. Too red and it fights a silver case. This one leans toward the color of wet bark and settles in beside it.

The Naos is where Sternglas started and where it keeps returning. Founded in Hamburg in 2016 by Dustin Fontaine, the brand argues that good design should outlast trends rather than chase them, and the Naos dial is the shortest version of that argument: reduction, contrast, sans-serif clarity.

The XL case brings that dial to 42 mm across 20 mm lugs in polished stainless steel, with a white dial, silver hands and a Miyota GR12 quartz movement with date. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces, 5 bar water resistance. The Premium leather strap in dark brown is the warmest of the leather choices offered on the white-dial XL.

It suits an autumn wardrobe and a wrist that would rather not be asked about its watch.
