Black leather under a white dial is the highest-contrast pairing Sternglas offers on the Naos, and contrast is what this dial was drawn for.

The Naos is the brand's flagship and the reason it collected a German Design Award in 2024. Sternglas has designed in Hamburg since 2016 around one recurring question: why good watch design stopped being available to everyone. The answer it gives on the dial is subtraction. Fine markers, slim hands, a date, nothing further.

This is the 42 mm XL case in polished stainless steel with a white dial and silver hands, driven by a Miyota GR12 quartz movement with a date. Sapphire crystal, double anti-reflective coating, 5 bar. The Modena leather strap in black keeps the whole watch to two tones, and the 20 mm lug width means the rest of the Sternglas strap range will fit it later.

Sharp enough for a suit, plain enough to stop noticing for a week at a time.
