NAOS XL Edition 1905 dark green bronze / Vintage 20 mocha

Mocha is a specific brown. There is coffee in it rather than chocolate, and that changes what the bronze case is doing.

Sternglas, designing from Hamburg since 2016, keeps the Naos dial as clean as it can be made. The Edition 1905 marks the completion year of the Speicherstadt, the city's brick warehouse district, with a dark green satin dial, a brushed PVD bronze case, and bronze hands carrying signal-orange accents. The screwed caseback is engraved with the Speicherstadt's Wasserschloss.

The XL case is 42 mm across, quartz-powered, with a date and 20 mm lugs. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces, 5 bar. The Vintage leather strap in mocha is the warmest option offered on the Edition 1905 and pushes the whole watch toward the brick-and-canal palette of its subject.

It reads well under a sleeve on a mid-size wrist, and better still on a weekend when nothing is tucked in.
