Sternglas began in Hamburg in 2016 with a question about why good watch design had drifted out of reach, and the NAOS was the answer: reduced, geometric, legible, nothing added for effect. The NAOS XL Automatik carries that layout at 42 mm, where the extra space works in favor of the design rather than against it.

This version pairs an alabaster dial with a bronze-toned case, a combination that reads as though it has already spent some years on a wrist. An automatic movement drives the hands and the date under a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, and water resistance is 5 bar. The mocha Vintage leather strap fits the 20 mm lugs and completes the aged palette without pushing it into costume territory.
