NAOS sunburst blue silver / Milanaise silver

Two surfaces on this Naos change as you turn your wrist. The sunburst dial fans light outward from the center; the woven mesh breaks it into small points. Neither behaves the same way twice.

Most of what Sternglas puts on a Naos dial is flat by design, printed markers and sans-serif type with no ornament anywhere. The sunburst finish is the exception that reduction allows, because it works through light rather than through added detail.

The blue sunburst dial sits in a polished 316L steel case of 38 mm, on a silver Milanese mesh bracelet 2.5 mm thick across 20 mm lugs, with a clasp that slides to any length. A Miyota GR12 quartz movement runs the hands and the date. Double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces, 5 bar of water resistance, and a bracelet that releases without tools.

Blue and steel reads as neither formal nor casual, which makes this an easy watch to own only one of.
