The Naos took a German Design Award in 2024 and remains the bestseller of the Sternglas range, which the Hamburg brand has built since 2016 around clarity, restraint and cases slim enough to slip under a cuff. The NAOS SOLAR is the version that removes the last routine chore from owning a quartz watch.

Its Epson AS32 solar quartz movement draws energy from daylight and artificial light through a panel beneath the dial, storing it in a rechargeable cell instead of a replaceable battery. A full charge runs up to four months in the dark. The white dial carries turquoise Luminova and a date, set in a polished 316L stainless steel case of 38 mm with a domed sapphire crystal and double anti-reflective coating, rated to 5 bar. The dark brown Bridle leather strap at 20 mm softens the brightness of the dial considerably.
