Dark brown is the strap that lets the gloss black Naos dial stay the darkest thing on the watch. The leather steps down one tone and stops there.

Reduction is the whole method of the Naos. Sternglas removes anything from the dial that does not help you read the time, then relies on contrast and geometry to carry the design, the approach behind the line's German Design Award in 2024.

Piano black dial, polished 316L steel case at 38 mm, Premium leather in dark brown on 20 mm lugs. A Miyota GR12 quartz movement runs the hands and a date, with a double-domed sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating on both faces above it. Water resistance is 5 bar.

In daylight the leather warms up. Under a lamp it goes nearly as dark as the dial. One watch, two moods, no extra color required.
