NAOS Edition Heritage dark brown gold / SuperSlim 20 gold (mat)

Matte gold reads quite differently from polished gold. It absorbs light instead of throwing it back, and the effect is considerably calmer.

The Sternglas NAOS Edition Heritage takes its cue from twentieth-century exploration and carries a globe and a writing quill engraved on the caseback. It introduced the gold-cased Naos to the collection, in polished PVD gold with gold hands over the line's characteristically bare dial.

This version runs the dark brown dial on the SuperSlim bracelet in matte gold, a 316L stainless steel band 2.2 mm thick with a brushed steel clasp and 20 mm lug width. The 38 mm case is covered by a double-domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, driven by a quartz movement with a date, and rated to 5 bar. Steel that thin keeps the overall profile as slim as the Naos design intends.

Matte bracelet against a polished case gives the watch two finishes to play with. It is the quietest way to wear gold.
