NAOS Edition Heritage dark brown gold / suede 20 brown gold (polished)

Suede is the least formal leather there is, which is exactly why it works against a gold case.

Sternglas designed the NAOS Edition Heritage around the idea of twentieth-century exploration, and the caseback carries a globe and a writing quill to make the point. It was the first Naos to combine a polished PVD gold case with the line's stripped-back dial and gold hands.

The dark brown dial here is matched to a brown suede strap, 20 mm at the lugs, closed with a polished gold buckle. Texture does the work that a busier dial would otherwise have to: nap on the strap, high polish on the case, flat satin on the dial. Inside the 38 mm case is a quartz movement with date, protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, with 5 bar water resistance.

Softer and more casual than the leather or steel versions, and a good match for tweed, corduroy and knitwear.
