Sternglas normally strips the Naos dial to the minimum. With the NAOS Edition Aventurin it changes the material instead of the layout, replacing the usual satin dial with aventurine glass, a glass shot through with fine metallic flecks that catch light like a clear night. The markers, hands and single date window stay exactly as reduced as ever.

The dark blue dial sits in a 38 mm polished stainless steel case with 20 mm lugs, under a double-domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating. A quartz movement with a date keeps things maintenance-light, and the case is rated to 5 bar. The Bridle leather strap in black gives the whole watch a hard, formal edge, letting the dial supply all the color.

Restrained from across the room, unusual up close. That is a good combination for a watch worn to work.
