NAOS Edition 1905 dark green bronze / Modena 20 dark brown
Bronze and dark brown is an old pairing, and the reason it survives is that neither color has to shout.
Behind this Naos is a date. The Sternglas NAOS Edition 1905 commemorates 1905, when Hamburg's Speicherstadt was completed, and the watch carries the tribute in its materials: satin dark green dial, brushed PVD bronze case, bronze hands with signal-orange tips, and a caseback engraving of the district's Wasserschloss.
The 38 mm case wears on a Modena leather strap in dark brown, 20 mm at the lugs, its depth of color pulling the bronze case toward the warm end. Timekeeping comes from a Japanese Miyota GR12 quartz movement with a date window and roughly a three-year battery interval, protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating. Water resistance is 5 bar.
Of the straps offered on this edition, dark brown leather is the most conventional and the easiest to wear daily. It suits someone who wants the green dial to be the only unusual thing about the watch.
Perfect for: brown leather strap watches, 38 mm everyday quartz wearers, architectural heritage edition collectors.
