NAOS Automatic white silver / Premium 20 dark brown

Sternglas designs the NAOS Automatik in Hamburg, and the line has always been about reduction rather than ornament. The Naos is the brand's core model and its slimmest mechanical case, with a dial that offers markers, hands and a date, then stops.

Here the white dial sits in a 38 mm 316L stainless steel case with a silver-tone polish, on Premium leather in dark brown at 20 mm. The movement is a Miyota 8215 automatic with hand-winding and hacking seconds, 42 hours of power reserve and a date display, framed by an exhibition caseback secured with six screws. Double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating sits above, 5 bar of water resistance below.

It splits the difference between the black and brown options without feeling like a compromise between them.
