NAOS Automatic white silver / Premium 20 black

Black leather beneath a white dial is the highest-contrast arrangement in this range, and the most legible from across a room.

Sternglas has built the NAOS around exactly that idea since 2016. The Naos is the Hamburg brand's flagship, and its dial follows a single rule inherited from Bauhaus thinking: if a mark does not aid legibility, it does not belong. The Automatik adds a mechanical movement without adding decoration.

A white dial sits in a 38 mm silver-tone stainless steel case, fitted to the Premium leather strap in black at 20 mm. The Miyota 8215 automatic behind it winds from the wrist, accepts hand-winding, hacks its seconds for precise setting and holds 42 hours in reserve, with a date on the dial and a glass caseback held by six screws. Double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating covers the front, and the watch is rated to 5 bar.

The most formal of the white-dial configurations, and the one that behaves best with a dark suit.
