NAOS Automatic dark green gold / Bridle 20 dark brown

Brown leather and a gold case belong to the same family of warm tones, and a dark green dial keeps the pairing from turning sweet.

Sternglas builds the NAOS as the least decorated watch in its range, and the Automatik version is the mechanical one. The brand, founded in Hamburg in 2016, draws its dials on the modernist principle that form follows function, a phrase coined by the architect Louis Sullivan and later central to Bauhaus thinking.

Here a dark green dial sits inside a 38 mm gold-toned stainless steel case, worn on Bridle leather in dark brown at 20 mm. The movement is a Miyota 8215 automatic with a date, 42 hours of reserve and a 21,600 vibration-per-hour beat, framed by the six-screw glass caseback. Above the dial is double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating; behind it, 5 bar of water resistance.

The more relaxed of the two Bridle configurations, and an easy match for tan, olive and navy.
