MR-G is the flagship G-SHOCK line, introduced in 1996 and assembled at Yamagata Casio on the Premium Production Line by one technician per watch. The B5000 case is drawn from the shape of the first G-SHOCK, rebuilt entirely in metal.
The case measures 49.4 by 43.2 mm and 12.9 mm deep, in titanium with COBARION on the bezel, a cobalt-chrome alloy roughly four times harder than pure titanium and capable of holding a mirror finish that resists marking. A diamond-like coating covers the surrounding surfaces, with blue accents picking out the detail against the dark metal. The solid titanium bracelet uses a tight-lock, one-press three-fold clasp. Sapphire crystal, 200 meters of water resistance, Tough Solar power and Multi Band 6 radio calibration.
Quieter than the bright silver version and more considered than plain black. It suits someone who wants a detail worth noticing rather than a watch that announces itself across a room.
