A resin band on an MR-G is not a downgrade. It is the version that goes back to what a G-SHOCK is for, with none of the case specification given up.
MR-G is the G-SHOCK flagship, introduced in 1996 and built at Yamagata Casio on the Premium Production Line by one technician per watch. This B2100 keeps the titanium octagonal case and pairs it with a band you can wear into the sea without thinking about it.
The case measures 49.5 by 44.4 by 13.6 mm, titanium with COBARION on the bezel, a cobalt-chrome alloy roughly four times harder than pure titanium and used here for a polish that resists marking. A diamond-like coating covers the case, with blue running through the dial. The resin band closes on a one-touch three-fold clasp. Sapphire crystal, 200 meters of water resistance, Tough Solar, Multi Band 6 and Bluetooth.
Substantially lighter than the bracelet versions and the most practical of the octagons. It suits someone who intends to actually use the water resistance.
