Blue holds differently on metal than on resin. On a polished titanium dial it shifts with the angle, going from near-black to something closer to open water.
This is the G-SHOCK MR-G octagon in dawn blue. MR-G has been the flagship line since 1996, assembled at Yamagata Casio on the Premium Production Line, where each watch is built start to finish by one technician.
The case measures 49.5 by 44.4 mm and stands 13.6 mm tall, in titanium with COBARION on the bezel. COBARION is a cobalt-chrome alloy Casio rates at roughly four times the hardness of pure titanium, used where the polish has to survive contact. A titanium carbide coating covers the remaining surfaces. The solid titanium bracelet closes on a tight-lock three-fold clasp. Sapphire crystal, 200 meters of water resistance, Tough Solar power, Multi Band 6 radio calibration and Bluetooth pairing to the CASIO WATCHES app.
The blue is the whole point and it stays subtle in most light, reading as dark metal until it catches the sun. For a wearer who wants color without a watch that shouts about it.
