Lunova Chronograph — Black-Gray Dial / Anthracite Velour Suede
Gray on gray, deliberately. Anthracite suede under a black-gray gradient dial makes the Lunova Chronograph read as one continuous object rather than a watch and a band.
Mühle-Glashütte introduced Lunova as its elegant register, taking the name from Latin lumen and novus, roughly "new shine," in reference to polished case surfaces that are rare elsewhere in the catalog. The chronograph sits at the top of the line on the MU 9413, Mühle's own caliber built on a Swiss base and reworked in Glashütte, running 62 hours and showing its Glashütte three-quarter plate through the exhibition back.
The stainless steel case is 42.3 mm in diameter, 14.2 mm high and 52.1 mm lug to lug, good for 10 bar. Small seconds, chronograph totalizers, and day and date at 3 o'clock. Velour suede in anthracite mounts on quick-release spring bars, so swapping to leather takes about thirty seconds.
Suede gives a large chronograph a quieter, more textural presence on the wrist.
Perfect for: suede strap wearers, monochrome dial fans, automatic chronograph buyers.
