Lunova Chronograph — Black-Gray Dial / Cognac Vintage Leather

Twelve hours is a long time to measure. The Lunova Chronograph from Mühle-Glashütte will do it, then keep running for another two and a half days untouched.

Lunova is the Glashütte firm's dress line, named from the Latin words for light and new because of how much of the case is polished rather than brushed. The chronograph is its flagship: the MU 9413, a Mühle caliber built on a Swiss base and thoroughly reworked in Saxony, carrying the Glashütte three-quarter plate and 62 hours of power reserve behind a sapphire exhibition caseback.

This reference wears a cognac vintage leather strap, softer and more lived-in than the croc-embossed option, against the black-gray gradient dial. Applied Super-LumiNova indices, small seconds, chronograph counters and a combined day and date at 3 o'clock. Stainless steel, 42.3 mm across, 14.2 mm thick, water resistant to 10 bar, with quick-release spring bars for changing straps by hand.

Cognac leather warms a cool dial and reads as easily with denim as with wool.
