Look at the MINASE Luna Arch from the side and there is a thin band of clear sapphire visible between the bezel and the case. That gap is the design, and everything else follows from it.

MINASE built the Luna Arch, launched in 2023, around a clamping structure rather than the case-in-case architecture of its mechanical collections. The bezel clasps the sapphire crystal from above, the way a bezel setting holds a gemstone, and because the crystal is gripped from the top instead of dropped into a recess, its curvature stays on show from the flank. The brand describes the result as mirror-polished metal and sapphire melting together into a drop about to fall.

This reference sets a white dial against a leather strap. The dial carries MINASE's pattern derived from light reflecting at random off the Minase River, which gives a white face a shifting texture rather than a flat surface. The case is 30.5 mm wide, 37.1 mm long including the lugs and 8.7 mm thick, and a Miyota calibre 2036 quartz movement made in Japan runs it, with a battery life of roughly three years.

The 5 atm rating is for rain and splashes, not swimming. A white dial on leather is the most legible and least fussy way to own a Luna Arch.
