A quartz movement in a watch this carefully made is a deliberate choice, not a shortcut. The MINASE Luna Arch uses a Japanese-made Miyota calibre 2036, and the payoff is a case that is only 8.7 mm thick.

Launched in 2023, the Luna Arch was among the first MINASE designs built around elegance rather than mechanical architecture. Its case uses a clamping structure: an unbroken bezel clasps the sapphire crystal from above, exactly as a bezel setting grips a stone, and the crystal's curvature stays visible through the gap left between bezel and case. The dial pattern comes from the way light reflects at random off the Minase River near the brand's workshop in Akita.

This is a Stone-clamped reference, set with diamonds, with a navy dial and a leather strap. In the diamond execution the case measures 31.3 mm wide, 37.1 mm long including the lugs and 8.7 mm thick. The quartz movement carries a battery life of roughly three years, and the crystal is sapphire. Metal surfaces are finished by Sallaz hand-polishing, the Swiss-origin technique MINASE revived in Japan.

Its 5 atm rating covers rain and splashes only, so no swimming. Navy on leather with stones set into the case is the most formal reading of the Luna Arch.
