Pink dials often arrive with an apology attached. This one does not. On the MINASE Luna Arch the pink is a color decision rather than a concession, and the case is finished exactly as carefully as the brand's largest watches.

MINASE builds in Ugo-machi, in Akita prefecture, in a workshop the brand compares to a small Swiss village in the Jura. Luna Arch, launched in 2023, was among its first models designed on the theme of elegance, and it uses a clamping structure in place of case-in-case: the bezel clasps the sapphire crystal from above like a bezel setting in jewelry, leaving the crystal's edge visible through the gap that separates bezel from case. Every visible surface passes through Sallaz hand-polishing.

Here the pink dial carries the pattern MINASE derives from light reflecting at random off the Minase River, which keeps the color moving as the wrist turns. The case measures 30.5 mm wide, 37.1 mm long including the lugs and 8.7 mm thick, worn on a steel bracelet, and the movement is a Japanese-made Miyota calibre 2036 quartz with a battery life of roughly three years.

The 5 atm rating is good for rain and a splash, not for the pool. Small, thin and unusual in color, this is a watch that does not look like anything else in a drawer.
