LUMATIK light blue silver / Bridle 20 brown

Pale blue and brown leather is a summer combination, and the LUMATIK is one of the few mechanical watches that carries it without turning into a beach watch.

The LUMATIK is Sternglas's lume-led family, developed after customers asked the Hamburg brand for legibility in the dark. Its Luminova comes in two tones, white and orange, so hands and indices stay separable at night. The design collected a German Design Award in 2025.

The light blue dial, silver-tone hands and date at six sit in a 38 mm stainless steel case with 20 mm lugs, under double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces, rated to 5 bar. The Miyota 8315 automatic inside runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, hacks for exact setting, winds by hand, and holds 60 hours of reserve. Through the screwed glass caseback you can watch the skeletonized rotor and the striped decoration on the bridge below it.

Wear it Friday evening, leave it off all weekend, and it is still running on Sunday night. The brown Bridle strap only makes that easier to forgive.
