HORIZON Mid Leather Model Stone-clamped (Diamond) [VM06-C10PDD-KBK]

Black leather is the most direct frame you can give a stone-set watch. It takes everything out of the picture except the case, and on the MINASE HORIZON Mid that is exactly where the attention belongs.

The HORIZON Mid has been part of the collection since 2017, a smaller reading of the HORIZON that keeps its endless-horizon concept, its domed sapphire crystal and its case-in-case construction. Inside that construction sit an inner case for the movement, a dial with a curved surface and an index ring fastened above it, all closed inside a second case. Surfaces are finished by Sallaz polishing, worked by hand against a rotating diamond-charged plate so that mirrors stay optically flat and the edges where planes meet stay sharp.

This Stone-clamped reference is set with diamonds and comes on a black leather strap. The case measures 36.8 mm wide, 45.6 mm long including the lugs and 12.0 mm thick, with the whole watch weighing around 74 grams, and the crystal is sapphire with a non-reflective coating over a sapphire display back. The self-winding MINASE calibre KT8001, built on a Swiss ETA 2671 and Sellita SW100 base, provides the time and date.

Five atmospheres of water resistance means rain and splashes only. Each watch is essentially made to order, so no two leave Akita on the same day.
