HAMBURG satined-silver silver / Vintage nero

Nero is simply Italian for black, and it is what Sternglas calls the darkest leather in its Vintage line. Under a satin silver dial it produces the highest-contrast version of the HAMBURG.

The brand has designed in Hamburg since 2016, and this collection is its most literal homage to the city. The dials follow nautical measuring instruments, favoring legibility over decoration: a numeral at every hour, a fine printed minute scale, luminous hands, and nothing else competing for attention.

The dial is silvery satin and gently domed, giving a soft gradation toward its edge. It sits in a 42 mm stainless steel case with 20 mm lugs, powered by a quartz movement with a date display and protected by double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating. Water resistance is 5 bar. The 20 mm Vintage strap in black leather draws a hard frame around the light dial.

Maximum contrast, minimum decoration. It is the clearest expression of what the HAMBURG dial was drawn to do.
