HAMBURG satined-silver silver / Modena 20 black silver

Sternglas was founded in Hamburg in 2016 and named this collection after the city, taking its design cues from the measuring instruments of seafaring. Where the brand's smaller models strip the dial back to baton markers, the HAMBURG prints full Arabic numerals and rings them with a fine minute scale.

The dial is a satin silver, sandblast-finished and lightly domed so it shifts as the light moves across it. It sits in a 42 mm stainless steel case with 20 mm lugs, running a quartz movement with a date display, under double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating applied to both faces. The rating is 5 bar. The Modena strap is 20 mm black leather with a silver-finished buckle chosen to match the case.
