Most bronze-tone watches announce themselves. This one keeps its voice down: the Sternglas HAMBURG Pro Automatic in dark green sits on a SuperSlim steel bracelet just 2.2 mm thick, in a matching bronze finish.

The HAMBURG line is named for the city where Sternglas has designed watches since 2016. Unlike the brand's more austere families, it draws on the look of instruments used at sea, which shows in a dial built around readability and a case that carries some size on purpose.

The Pro Automatic measures 42 mm in 316L stainless steel with a bronze-tone finish, and the dial is dark green beneath sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. A self-winding automatic movement supplies the power and a date display, and water resistance is 5 bar. The SuperSlim bracelet is stainless steel, not leather, 20 mm at the lugs, finished to match the case and fastened with a brushed 316L clasp.

Slim metal keeps the profile low, so the green dial and warm case do all the work.
