Sternglas has designed its watches in Hamburg since 2016, and the HAMBURG collection is the one that names the city outright. Its dials owe more to seafaring measuring instruments than to the pared-back geometry the brand uses elsewhere, which is why this line reads as a working watch rather than a dress watch.

The Pro Automatic case is 316L stainless steel, 42 mm wide, with a silver-tone finish that echoes the hands. The alabaster dial sits under sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, and a self-winding automatic movement drives it, with a date display on hand. Water resistance is 5 bar. The 20 mm Vintage leather strap in mocha keeps the whole thing on the warmer side of neutral.

Cream, silver and brown make for a quiet combination that works with denim and with tailoring, in roughly equal measure.
