Most blue-dial watches are finished in something safe. This Sternglas HAMBURG Edition 1911 arrives on a Vintage strap in nero-yellow, black leather with yellow running through it, which gives an otherwise reserved watch one deliberately raised voice.

The HAMBURG family is where Sternglas leaves its most reduced dials behind and builds something closer to an instrument. Numerals are printed at every hour, a fine minute scale rings the dial, and the case grows to 42 mm so all of it stays readable at a glance. The brand has designed in Hamburg since its founding in 2016 and named the collection after the city.

Edition 1911 uses a dark blue dial in a silver-tone stainless steel case, with a quartz movement, a date display, and a double-domed sapphire crystal carrying anti-reflective coating on both sides. Water resistance is 5 bar and the lugs are 20 mm. Black is nero in Sternglas's strap vocabulary, and the yellow lifting it here is the reason this variant looks nothing like the same watch on plain brown.
