Sternglas designs the HAMBURG collection in the city it is named after, and the dials borrow from maritime measuring instruments rather than from dress watch tradition. The movement is a Seiko/TMI VK64 meca-quartz chronograph, meaning the seconds are kept by quartz while the chronograph is mechanically driven, giving a sweeping hand at five steps per second and a snap reset. There is a 24-hour register, a date at six, roughly three years of battery, double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating and 5 bar of water resistance.
