G-SHOCK GM-B2100SD-1A - Full Metal Octagon
A brushed dial changes a steel watch more than a new colour does, because it changes what the dial does with light rather than what colour it returns.
The GM-B2100SD is a Full Metal octagon in G-SHOCK's 2100 Series, stainless steel throughout with a solid steel bracelet, one-touch three-fold clasp and a screw-lock back. This reference gets a textured dial treatment rather than the flat black of the standard model.
Grey-toned brushed dial under a bare steel bezel, silver bracelet, in a case 49.8 by 44.4 mm and 12.8 mm deep at 165 grams. Two hands over a small LCD, Neobrite markers, orange on the sub-hand. Module 5691 runs on Tough Solar and links to the CASIO WATCHES app over Bluetooth, covering world time, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and alarms. 200 m water resistant.
Softer and more monochrome than the black-dialled original. The whole watch reads as one material.
