G-SHOCK GM-2100M-1A - Metal-Clad Octagon
The 2100 with a metal bezel has been around since 2021. The GM-2100M is the version where Casio went back and changed what the resin is made of.
It belongs to G-SHOCK's 2100 Series, with a stainless steel bezel over a resin case, and this release moves the band to biomass plastics without altering the shape, the weight or the module. That is the point: the watch is unchanged on the wrist and different in how it was sourced.
Black on black, 49.3 by 44.4 mm and 11.8 mm deep, 71 grams. The two-hand analog display sits over an LCD with a hand shift feature that moves the hands clear, Neobrite on the markers, and a double LED for both. Module 5611 carries 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five alarms, holds fifteen seconds a month and runs three years on a pair of cells. 200 m water resistant.
The default metal-bezel 2100 for anyone who wants black and nothing else.
