A steel bezel does not have to announce itself. Blacked out, the GM-2100BB reads as an all-black watch until the light catches an edge and gives the metal away.
This is the 2100 Series in its metal-clad form: a stainless steel bezel over a resin case and band, which is how G-SHOCK gets the density of metal at the wrist without giving up the shock structure that makes the watch a G-SHOCK in the first place. At 72 grams it weighs a fraction of what a full steel version does.
Here the steel bezel is finished in black to match the resin band, so the whole watch is one tone and the only contrast comes from the hands and the LCD. The case is 49.3 by 44.4 mm, 11.8 mm deep. Module 5611 drives two hands over the digital display with a hand shift feature to clear them out of the way, plus 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer and five alarms, on a three-year battery. Neobrite markers, 200 m water resistance.
The quiet one in the family. Nothing on it reflects unless you want it to.
