White resin is the most honest material G-SHOCK uses: it shows every line of the case, and on the GAC-2500-7A the lines are worth seeing.
The GAC-2500 is the resin model of G-SHOCK's 2500 Series, an octagonal, purely analog design that takes its cue from the shock-resistant DW-5000C of 1983. There is no LCD. The dial is laid out as a "two-eye" face, with a small seconds subdial on one side and a date wheel on the other.
Here everything is white: bio-based resin case and bezel, white dial, and a white band made with biomass plastics. The three-dimensional resin indexes cast small shadows, which is what keeps an all-white dial legible, and the date window is color-matched so it never interrupts the face. The minute hand is attached magnetically to help it shrug off a knock. 44.5 mm across, 12.7 mm deep and only 47 grams. Module 5757, two years on a CR1025, LED light with afterglow, 200 m water resistance.
