Some G-SHOCK releases change the colour. This one changes the texture, which is the harder thing to photograph and the better thing to own.
The DW-5600RGM belongs to the 5600 Series, the original square, in a case of resin and bio-based resin on a band of biomass plastics. The outline is the DW-5000C's, unchanged since 1983, and the interest here is entirely in the surface treatment.
Black and grey across the face with a black band, in a case 48.9 by 42.8 mm and 13.4 mm deep at 53 grams. The Super Illuminator backlight carries afterglow. Module 3525 gives a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, an alarm and a full auto-calendar, five years to a battery. 200 m water resistant.
Monochrome with a grain to it. Reads as a plain black square until it is in your hand.
