Edition Pangaea Strauss – dark blue
Midnight blue, cut with a wave-like guilloché that catches light the way a river does at night. The reference is deliberate, and it is musical.
MeisterSinger's Edition Johann Strauss Pangaea commemorates the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss II, the Austrian composer behind The Blue Danube. The dial's engraved waves stand for the river; a silver portrait of the composer sits above 6 o'clock; applied silver numerals ring the dial in the brand's continuous double-digit typography. The caseback is engraved with his likeness, his signature and the individual edition number.
The watch uses the slim, dressy 40 mm Pangaea case in stainless steel, on a cognac crocodile-embossed calf strap with 20 mm lugs, rated to 5 bar. A Swiss automatic movement, modified for the single-hand configuration, drives one long needle hand across a scale divided every five minutes. There is no date. The edition is limited to 125 pieces and was released in 2025.
It is the larger and more formal of the two Strauss editions, and the dressier of MeisterSinger's cases carries the theme with the seriousness it deserves.
Perfect for: guilloché dial collectors, composer and concert-hall gifts, dark blue dress watches with leather straps.
