Some watches announce themselves by weight. The Sternglas BERLIN in silver does the opposite. Put it on in the morning and by lunchtime you have forgotten it is there.

The line commemorates the 1846 Hamburg to Berlin railway and engraves Hamburg's Berliner Bahnhof on the caseback. Its useful eccentricity is a day-of-week indicator paired with the date, run by a Miyota GM02 quartz caliber with an approximate 36-month battery and a choice of English or German day names.

The dial is silver with silver-tone hands and baton markers, set in a 38 mm stainless steel case with a 45 mm lug-to-lug span, under double-domed sapphire crystal treated against reflections on both surfaces. Water resistance is 5 bar. The SuperSlim here is a bracelet rather than a strap: 316L steel in a silver finish, 2.2 mm thick, 20 mm at the lugs, closing on a brushed 316L clasp.

All steel, all silver, no contrast anywhere. That restraint is entirely the point.
